Client Asks: Envisioning a Backyard from Bare Ground
This design began with an empty yard of a newly acquired home, envisioning the space as an intimate, family-friendly landscape grounded in a modern minimalist sensibility.
Carefully considered elements such as paver accents, artificial grass, and textured pebble finishes were introduced to define zones while maintaining visual openness. Each material was selected to balance practicality and calm, allowing the backyard to function as both a space for everyday family use and a quiet setting to enjoy the surrounding landscape.
The result is a calm, functional landscape designed with a child in mind—supporting play, movement, and family moments as the home grows with its owners.
